About Translator

Translator took off after relocating from Los Angeles to San Francisco; there they connected with producer David Kahne and recorded a demo that included Steve Barton's "Everywhere That I'm Not" and Robert Darlington's "Everywhere." Signed by upstart independent record label 415 Records, Translator released its debut album, Heartbeats and Triggers. Thanks to a new distribution deal, that record (and others by Romeo Void, Red Rockers and Wire Train) would be released on the Columbia Records imprint. Three more Translator albums for 415/Columbia would follow, and in subsequent years Transaltor would release additional archival and live albums. Links to details on each are below.
